We cannot even explain how much fun we had with Samantha & Robert on their Savannah Engagement Session at Forsyth Park! This couple is so adorable and so in love!  We felt a connection with them from the very beginning and everything just clicked. We had a perfect fall morning in Savannah at about 70 degrees with a perfect light breeze. We absolutely love the way the moss on the trees blows in the wind...sooo romantic! Forsyth Park in general is just an absolutely romantic place for a stroll, a cup of coffee on a bench and of course for an engagement session! We always love photographing weddings and events in Savannah and we are very much looking forward to this wonderful couple's Savannah wedding in May at Red Gate Farms! We are so thankful that Samantha & Robert chose us to be their photographers!

A Perfect Disney Fairytale....

Congratulations to Molly & Bo! This fabulous couple had originally planned for a large wedding at Disneyland, CA.  Then Covid-19 came into the world and changed all their precious wedding plans! In less than a month this amazing couple was able to completely re-plan a perfect Intimate Wedding at Disney Springs Paddlefish.  They had family and friends from around the country join them on their perfect day! Covid-19 could not put a stop to the plans this couple had for marriage!  They said "I Do" on the upper deck bow of this beautiful venue that is designed to look like a ship. After the ceremony they joined their friends and family for an afternoon filled with love, laughter and quality time with all their nearest and dearest loved ones. Molly sang a few songs with her father as he played the guitar...which totally had me tearing up behind my camera. It was beautiful! Another one of the most memorable and unique moments of Molly & Bo's wedding was at the end of the reception the entire family all gathered together with arms around one another for a prayer. A prayer over their marriage and future and over all their loved ones for safety. This was another teary moment for me behind the camera. To see nearly 50 people gathered and joined in love and prayer was just amazing. The bonds this family shares are a forever bond that can never be broken. We had the amazing pleasure of having a couple hours after the reception to take Molly & Bo around Disney Springs and the resorts for some awesome photos and video! This day was flawless and beautiful and although we did adhere to all the facemask guidelines that were in place at the time...we were still able to capture sooo many amazing photos and videos! We are so incredibly thankful and grateful that Molly & Bo chose us to be their photo & cinema team! Sometimes things just happen for a reason, and although a wedding here in FL was not their original plan...I think it worked out for them better than anyone could have possibly imagined and was absolutely meant to be! We wish them a forever of happiness and can't wait to see them and photograph them again soon! We have gained forever friends in this amazing couple, they are now stuck with us for life!  LOL

Congrats to this wonderful couple! Paige and Cody had such a beautiful wedding at The Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch. It was a perfect Spring wedding right before Covid-19 arrived and changed our world. We are so glad that Paige & Cody were able to have their perfect wedding! They had friends and family from around the country join them in celebrating their love & marriage. The reception was a non-stop party all night long as they danced the night away. We are so thankful that Paige & Cody chose us to capture their big day and be able to celebrate with them. We wish Paige & Cody a forever of happiness!

Congratulations!!! You're engaged! Now you must be thinking where do I start? One of the major services that you need for your big day is a wedding photographer.  You may be planning a large wedding or an intimate destination wedding or an elopement. No matter the size of your wedding celebration, you will want to hire a professional wedding photographer that will be able to capture your love that will last for generations to come.  We have created this article to help guide you in choosing a wedding photographer that is best for you.

1.) Choose your style of Photography- You want to choose a photographer whose style of photography you like best. Choosing a style of photography will help you decide the type of photographer you would like to capture your special day.  Regina Hyman Photography & Cinema are primarily stylized photojournalist with a fine art aspect to create intimate and dramatic images.

2.) Personality- It's your wedding day! You will be spending the entire day with your wedding photographer so you want to make sure that you feel comfortable with them so that you can enjoy the experience.  Great photos not only come from experience but also from a connection.  It's like finding the perfect fit for your wedding gown...you want to find your perfect match with a photographer and much of that has to do with personalities complimenting each other.  We love getting to know each of our clients as much as possible before their big day.  This helps us create great connection which each other that then creates superb wedding images.

3.) Ask to see a full wedding gallery - Try not to make your decision on a wedding photographer simply based on the images you see on a photographers website or social media pages.  These are a portfolio of the best images from a collection of different weddings.  By seeing a gallery of a full wedding you will get a better sense of their work from beginning to end of a wedding.  You should also ask to see wedding galleries that have settings that will be similar to your wedding.  Blog posts of weddings can also be helpful as they sometimes show the flow of a wedding. Your also looking to see if their blog is updated showing that they are booking clients and putting out outstanding work.  If your able to see yourself in the photographers weddings on their blog posts or website, then this may be a good indication that they will be the right match for you.

4.) Reviews and Social Media- Check out photographer's online reviews and social media profiles.  When a photography business has numerous reviews then sometimes they are more likely to be established and deliver a great product.  Reviews by previous clients will allow you to get a feel and understanding of what type of experience you may have on your wedding day. This will allow you to gain confidence and encourage your comfort level with the photographer.  Here is a link of our reviews: https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/regina-hyman-photography-cinema/181fd6039a30c400.html#reviews

5.) Compare Packages and Pricing- Many packages vary, but most include 6-10 hours of wedding day coverage.  Many photographers provide a price list that have different packages at different price points. Ask how long the photographer will spend with you, or if there's a second shooter/assistant. Having a second shooter/assistant will allow you to have more detail and candid shots of your day.  We always do our best to customize any packages to best fit a clients' needs. We feel this is very important because there are no "cookie cutter" brides or weddings. Each couple and their wedding is unique to them and so should their photography package be. Please keep in mind that you may need to stretch your budget in order to meet your needs and find that perfect match.  Also keep in mind that photos and video are the only thing that remains after your big day. The flowers have wilted, the food has been eaten and your dress will now hang in a closet. However the photos and videos are what you will have to remember all the wonderful moments and elements of your day. So don't skimp on your photography. These are memories captured that you will have for generations to come to continue to tell your love story throughout the years.

We hope this article has been helpful to you. Happy wedding planning to you and congratulations in advance!
